Anastasia is a restless spirit. She was born in Moscow 32 years ago, the first and only (to date) native Muscovite in the family, and she hasn’t stopped since then.
As a diplomat’s daughter, travelling is in her blood. Since she was little, she has been used to multicultural environments, raised as she was between Russia and Spain, 2 countries that will forever have her heart torn.
When she was 16, the family decided to move to Madrid permanently, having completely fallen in love with the Spanish culture, food, people, and of course, weather. 2,900 hours of sun vs 6 months of winter is a powerful reason for relocation.
When deciding what to study, and taking into account her international background and her passion for travelling and getting to know different cultures, the choice was clear: tourism. But once she got her Bachelors Degree from Alcala University she started feeling curious about the world of advertising and comms. So she kept studying, and obtained a Degree in Advertising and PR from Madrid Complutense University.
Impatient to start practising all she learned, she started at Orange (Business Unit), giving support in Internal Comms activities. But what really drives her is the agency world: discovering how ads are made, how the ideas are created, and what this thing called creativity is. So in 2009 Anastasia joined Publicis Spain, where she stayed for almost 3 years working for clients such as Garnier and Renault, in local campaigns development and implementations, as well as participating in international projects. Managing global accounts seemed a logic and natural step for her to grow professionally, and she left to become part of Lola Madrid’s account team for Magnum (Unilever).
Learning, growing, and never getting stuck are her main goals, so in 2013 after a while dedicating herself to another project outside the comms sector, she arrived at VCCP Spain as Account Manager for Action Against Hunger, Bankia, Google, Telefonica, and Freixenet. In 2014 she decides to go back to her origins (Lola Madrid), and in 2017 she joined Picnic looking for new challenges and learnings.
Anastasia is bilingual in Russian and Spanish, and she also speaks fluent English. She’s a total foodie, and on top of travelling, singing is another of her passions – she even surprises the office from time to time by entering mid-rendition of a famous hit.
