Carlos was born in Madrid, a city that he loves mainly because of its people.
He studied in the French Lycée, which not only granted him a second language, but also gave him the chance to live with a wide array of cultures and the ability to solve all kinds of challenges with lateral thinking.
Since he was little he was passionate about advertisement, -if you ever meet his mom she will tell how Carlos used to do his homework during the advertisement TV breaks; since he was a baby he would be hypnotized by those “short-films that they played on the TV”.-
Later he decided to study Marketing at ESIC instead of Advertisement, since it’s been always clear to him that every business action needs to have a positive, tangible impact.
His passion for innovation pushed him from college straight into the digital world; starting his professional career in the year 2000 in the interactive department, being one of the pioneers in Spain to create digital brand actions in agencies such as Wysiwyg*, Publicis and Proximity.
In 2008 he embraces the challenge of creating from scratch the digital department in Sra. Rushmore and integrating his philosophy within the agency. This challenge as Head of Digital was not only strategic, but also a business and transformation for the company. 3 years later, according to a Scopen study, Sra. Rushmore became the second biggest digital agency in Spain.
After working with the biggest advertisers in Spain in national and global projects, Carlos decided to focus his efforts on generating a business impact beyond companies and he returns to Proximity to work on digital transformation projects.
For Carlos, becoming part of the Picnic family means to give true meaning to his professional purpose: helping companies grow through a relevant brand purpose that provides value to society.
His other 2 passions are people and cooking, so it’s likely you will have a rich conversation with Carlos while he is cooking something mouth-watering.
