Carlos was born in Stockholm, and lived the first years of his life in Sweden. He studied Law, but it wasn’t his calling, so when he finished he decided he wanted to work in advertising.
He began working with McCann-Erickson Madrid where he spent the first few years of his career as Account Manager for accounts such as Mapfre, Siemens, and Renfe, and formed part of a multidisciplinary team in Integrated Communication.
After almost 7 years at the agency, in 2007 he switched sides, becoming a client with Vodafone (third largest advertiser in Spain). In that position he managed local and global advertising campaigns and integrated marketing and communication actions.
Having spent almost the same amount of time there as in the agency, in 2013 Carlos decided to explore new communication channels and was hired as Marketing Director for the messaging platform Line in Spain. Under his management, Line beat the record for annual app downloads, gaining more than 15 million users. Line also entered the Top 10 most searched-for words on Google in Spain.
In 2014 Carlos founded a startup developing communication strategies and marketing plans for SMEs and international companies, such as the music streaming platform Rdio.
Carlos has the spirit of an adventurer. He loves to travel and explore new countries’ peaks and seas, as any good snowboard and diving-lover would. He also has the spirit of an entrepreneur, and in 2015 this led him to set up a yoga studio, which he manages in his free time.
In 2015 he also began his collaboration with Picnic, where he is Head of Projects, making sure everything happens as it should.
