Project Manager & Start-ups Curator
Eli hails from rural England originally, but is a citizen of the world. She has always been passionate about connecting with other people and cultures, which led her to study languages at University College London, before undertaking a Masters to become a translator/interpreter.
In search of both experience and sunshine, she upped sticks and moved to Madrid. She set out working as a freelance English teacher and translator, before turning her hand to entrepreneurship, another passion held since she was young. Eli worked as Coordination Manager to set up the European Institute for Entrepreneurship, and later became Global Connections Manager. Whilst there, she introduced several international activities and designed new initiatives to promote young and social entrepreneurship. She is setting up a Foundation to support the same in her free time.
In 2015, she helped found a social health-tech start-up (Family Care Apps) in the UK, filling the role of Chief Marketing Officer, before coming back to Spain and joining the team at Picnic. From working on international projects to immersing herself in brand-driven innovation, technology, and entrepreneurial ideas, Eli relishes the challenges, opportunities, inspiration and fun to be found as a Picnicker.
