María Paz Fonseca was born with a yearning to communicate. She did not know exactly how or what, but without a doubt, she wanted to say something to the world. And she knew she would not stop until she had found a place where she could express herself and feel she was the best version of herself.
That’s why she began where she thought she could earn herself a place: studying and working in Advertising. During her undergraduate studies, she also attended the Higher School of Creatives which led her to rediscover her first love: writing. She spent her last year of university in Madrid. It was not the first time she got to know another continent, as she had always been curious to know what people thought and did in other parts of the world. For this very reason, year after year, all her savings always ended up going the same way: financing another trip.
Her first job was at MRM Worldwide in data entry. After three months, she was promoted to Project Manager and at the age of 22 she was already running a project for General Motors and overseeing three colleagues. Leadership was always latent in her. Later on, and after working in Ponce for the AX brand, she felt hungry for more. Thus, she obtained a Masters in Journalism at the University of San Andrés, and went on to work at Radio Mitre and later for the City Government of Buenos Aires. However, tired and disappointed by Argentinian politics, she wanted something more human. Luckily, she found Picnic, and they understood each other immediately.
María Paz lives with the same enthusiasm as a kid at Christmas. With eyes full of astonishment and a joyful look towards the future. Understanding that without dynamism and new challenges, there is no sense of freedom.
