Marta is from Zaragoza by birth and character, although Madrid stole her heart as soon as she arrived at the University.
She studied Audiovisual Communication dragged by an unusual vocation, in a family of doctors and law graduates. She had it clear. Thinking in images, telling stories, moving through creative thinking… using words and images as a working tool fascinated her.
She soon realized that she would never win a Goya, cinema was not her thing, but she squeezed every second of that studies that gave her a cultural background and a visual education that have always guided her professional development.
Her desire, curiosity and restless mind pushed her to start working very early. When she was still almost a teenager, she started working in a fashion communication agency. Those 3 years between events, clippings, press releases and shootings, gave her first experiences working with brands.
But her curiosity was growing: Who was in charge of thinking those concepts behind the events she executed? And those brand narratives? Those stories? It was in the master’s degree where she discovered that what she had been pursuing for several years was actually branding. That’s where she found her true calling.
She was lucky enough to develop her career as a brand consultant at Superunion, an international consulting firm where she spent 10 years helping some of the most important brands on the national and international scene; and then at Knom, with a more boutique approach, where she created and led the strategy team for 2 years.
At Picnic, as Strategy Director, she feels that the work she does is closer than ever to the people. Listening, learning from the environment, projecting, and using that strategic tool that is the word to really create a positive impact in people’s lives.
When talking about her passions, it could be summed up as eating and running. She is passionate about gastronomy, as she considers it another form of creativity with the ability to move through a different language, the food. Through it, she enjoys and is inspired, so she does not hesitate to travel whenever she can, to enjoy a memorable gastronomic experience in any city or corner of the world.
In her daily life, it is easy to find her early in the morning or late in the afternoon running through Madrid Río, Casa de Campo or with her running team in El Retiro; because for her there is no better way to think and let ideas flow than running.
