Monique joined Picnic in 2015 for a project, and immediately knew that the Picnic philosophy was a match with hers; she felt at home.
Born in Amsterdam at the turning point of the 60s and 70s, she realised very early on that Holland would not be big enough for her curious spirit; although even today, the Dutch way of understanding professionalism and business is still a big influencing factor for her.
All her professional changes came by surprise, and always resulted to be for the best. She moved from Amsterdam to London, and since 2001 Madrid has been her home. Her personal objective is to enjoy healthy living in a creative way, and to try to add maximum value for others.
More than 25 years of professional experience in the exciting world of Customer Relationship Management and Customer Experience Management – for 16 years in the corporate environment of Trade Marketing and CRM in the Tobacco Industry, and after that as a consultant in various sectors – have led her to work in and discover more than 30 countries and cultures, as diverse as Japan, Russia, Poland, Chile, Bangladesh, Indonesia and South Africa.
From every country, every project, sector, and experience, she took something with her. Lessons learnt, a gesture, a phrase, and fond memories of all the people she met along the way. She needs to keep on discovering and growing, and won’t stop until she has seen everything and more.
What Monique adds to customers and projects at Picnic is ensuring that the balance between Brand Promise and Customer Experience truly exists. She does that through design and delivery of training programs (Awareness), moderation of workshops (Design) and project management (Action).
